There are two opportunities for participation in this study. The first part of the study will assess your lifetime physical activity and health history. The second part of the study focuses on exercise therapy. If you are eligible and choose to enroll, you will be randomized to either the exercise group or the control group.
Two opportunities for participation:
- The first part of the study requires a one day commitment at the VA Hospital in Palo Alto. You will provide information through two questionnaires, have an ultrasound and lab work.
- If you are interested and qualify for the exercise trial, you will enroll in a three year program. You will be randomized to the exercise group or the usual activity control group.
